The Legend of Bills Elvis
Since 1992
How It Started
In 1992, John Lang made a friendly wager on a Miami vs. Buffalo Bills game that he couldn't get on TV. He found an old white jumpsuit, painted up an old guitar, and made his first appearance as 'Elvis' at the game.
He won the bet.
Since then, Bill’s Elvis has appeared on nearly every TV network and been seen worldwide - featured in the NFL Hall of Fame, Madden Football video games, and numerous commercials. What started as a friendly wager became a 30+ year legacy.
John has been a season ticket holder since the early '90s, sitting in Row 1, Section 126 at Highmark Stadium. Only four games missed in over three decades, surrounded by family and the legendary Lockport Tailgate crew.
LANG'S BANG SOUND SYSTEM
In the summer of 1980, wannabe disc jockey and entertainer John Lang bought some sound system equipment. With hard work and relentless self-promotion, Lang's Bang Sound System was soon playing all over Western New York.
By the mid-80s, the operation had expanded across the country - working regularly from Death Valley, CA to Terre Haute, IN to Geneseo, NY. Noted for great music, engaging stories, and various drinking games, there was fun at every event.
In the late 1980s, John went to work for Home Line Cruises and American Hawaii Cruises as a disc jockey and entertainer aboard their ships, while his brother Edgar Lang and good friend Orville Harrington kept Lang's Bang Sound System alive back home.
In 1990, John returned to Lockport to live and meet his future wife, Therese. The rest is history.
Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose. Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.

GIVING BACK
John's work extends far beyond the stadium. He's raised thousands for causes including Parkinson's Boxing Gym in Kenmore, Oishei Children's Hospital through Josh Allen's foundation, and families affected by the tragic May 14th Tops shooting. Bills Mafia means taking care of our community
